Dig Model 9001d How Can I Find Info On An Old Packard Bell Model Vx588 Computer?

How can I find info on an old Packard Bell model vx588 computer? - dig model 9001d

I have no luck with search engines or one of the sites that I could had been excavated. I know I have the model # correct, but can not find any information on this machine. It is a desktop that has two 5 1 / 4 disks, and I found that with a 8088-processor and 640 MB of RAM. I think it was manufactured in 1988.

The 10 Worst PCs of All Time

# 1 Packard Bell PC (1986-1996)

When PC World decided that the call was ten worst PCs of all time, a block of a virtual machine, Packard Bell was the grace of the list, number one. The only question was which model? It was an impossible choice.

Part of the problem was the strategy of Packard Bell, to virtually identical systems sold under different names, depending on where they were sold. Packard Bell Legend 406CD sold at Circuit City was more or less the same as for Axcel 467 sold on the shelves at Staples or the Force 480cd at CompUSA (sauté apples to apples, or in this case, lemons lemons) comparison impossible.

But consistently annoying in other Packard Bell. Between 1994 and 1996, the company was a resident of the underside of the PC World Reliability and multi-annual reviews. One in six will be Packard Bell machines sold at retail, were of dissatisfied customers - more than twice the industry average returns.

And the chances are good that If you bought a new Packard Bell system in 1994 or 1995, at least some of its components have been previously owned. The company has been sued several times for the sale of used parts as new, including paying millions of dollars in settlements.

After the merger with Packard Bell NEC in 1996, things were a little better. But if Packard Bell in the U.S. market in 2000 to concentrate on the left on the computer sales to European consumers, to throw some users on this side of the pond of tears.
